Premier Boxing Champions: Danny Garcia Public Workout

PBC has put up Garcia’s portion of the public workout published ahead of their December 5th title clash. I put up the Spence Jr. footage in my most previous post. I try not to make too much of sparring stories, face offs, and weigh in/press conference behavior but I like what I see from both. Spence Jr. looked razor sharp and focused despite the out of the ring drama and lay off. Garcia looks the best physically that I can remember, his back, arms, and lats look the biggest I have seen. In the opening of the workout he is close to the bag and throwing hard, especially with his right hand which he put more venom behind. The right hand is a common antidote for southpaws and his left hook will not have to travel too far to land. While Danny looks to focus more on precision and power, Spence Jr. might come out as a mover like he did vs Garcia. Danny struggled mightily with Keith Thurman who moved on the outside and made Danny be the aggressor and he never looked completely comfortable. Errol has 1.5″s in height and 3.5″s in reach to his advantage and I think he is going to put it to use to create an early hole for Garcia. Getting that early lead is important against Garcia who struggled down the stretch against Judah, Peterson, and Porter.
