Its been a long time since I posted off topic on this forum but I was pretty compelled to include this after the Tampa Bay Rays defeated the Boston Red Sox 5-0 in the opening game in the ALCS. At Tropicana Randy Arozarena showed why he should be considered the new Mr. October reaching first three out of four plate visits with a 100% success rate when it came to scoring. Arozarena opened the night with a walk and then scored from first on a Wander Franco double. In his third visit to the plate he drilled a home run to extend the lead further. In his final visit to the batter’s box he walked again. After getting to third base he did the improbable and stole home sliding in head first and it was not close. He has become the first player in postseason history to homer and steal home in the same game. After being the 2020 ALCS MVP he is also poised to win 2021 Rooking of the Year so there was no slump.
Last October 2020 he hit 10 home runs which surpassed Rays legend Evan Longoria’s 9 career postseason home runs. Arozarena also broke the record of 26 hits in a postseason as well. He also was in striking distance of the extra base hits record and three hit games in the post season. This is one hell of a run.
