Otar Eranosyan advanced his career to 5-0 this weekend as he picked up his third career stoppage. They twenty-seven year-old fights out of Miami, Florida after coming over from the Republic of Georgia and is affiliated with Warriors Boxing. It looks like they have the super featherweight prospect on the fast track as they stuck him in with a veteran Juan Carlos Pena. Pena has been a pro for twelve years, has 104 rounds boxed, and entered at 31-2 from the Dominican Republic. Eranosyan is a fun fighter to watch, he applies tons of pressure and has fast feet to create angles. His demeanor in the ring reminds me somewhat of Vic Darchynian with the low handed but aggressive style. Eranosyan mixes in his punches very well and won the first three rounds of the contest. He bobs and weaves back and forth to generate power on his over hand right and left hook and mixes in a sneaky uppercut as well. He stunned Pena early in the first round but did not get carried away. A series of punches finished with a left hook send Pena to the canvas early in the fourth round. Pena caught his breath and came out of the corner unloading at Eranosyan. Many inexperienced pros may have been overwhelmed by this furious attack from Pena but Otar waited it out as he caught punches inside his gloves. A counter left hook to the body amid the assault sent Pena down again and this time he did not rise to his feet. The KO was recorded at 2:23 of the fourth round. I liked what I saw from him; he is a heavy handed fighter who throws well in combination, ducks and slips punches well and is a good finisher when he has his opponent hurt. I think his left hand is dangerously low and he was caught with a nice right hand in the second round though he took it well. Here is the action below:
